Come Get Some, back to business!

Greetings Gorehounds!

It’s been a while, I know. Even though we haven’t been posting here, we have still been busy. 2008 was a great year for us. We did several conventions, met tons of cool people, and generally had a blast. 2009 is going to be just as badass. First and foremost, we are doing a convention here in our hometown of Charlotte:

HeroesCon, June 19-21, Charlotte North Carolina

Also, a few Come Get Some veterans and some newcomers to the Come Get Some family have made a few short films. We’ve been having a great time with it and hope to do lots more in ’09. Check ‘em out on the Media Page.

George A. Romero, one of the major influences on Come Get Some, was in Charlotte recently. We had the amazing oppurtunity to meet him and thank him for all he’s done. Oh, and he has a copy of Come Get Some of his very own now!

So keep in touch with the website, because I promise I will keep it updated with lots of cool stuff. Thanks again for all the support and to all the great folks who came up and said hi at the conventions (and bought a copy of Come Get Some for themselves!). Hope to see you all around this year.

That's right, next weekend (Oct. 26-28) Come Get Some is appearing in THREE locations around the country:

-Jason will be manning a Come Get Some table at the It's Alive Zombiefest 2007 in Pittsburgh, PA.  http://www.theitsaliveshow.com/Zombiefest2007.htm

-Steve will be in Little Rock Arkansas for the Full Moon Convention.  http://fullmoonconvention.com/index.html

-Come Get Some will be playing at the Fear in New Orleans Festival in, you guessed it, New Orleans.  http://www.myspace.com/fearinneworleansfromlsd

Welcome back gorehounds, to the new and improved Come Get Some website!

I know it's hard to believe, but Come Get Some is FINALLY out on DVD. It's taken awhile to get it out but trust me, it's worth the wait. Not only do you get the director's cut with totally remastered sound, but you also get over an hour of additional crap! Trailers, "making of" documentaries, photo galleries, 2 audio commentaries, and tons more. We have a link here on the website to purchase it, and if you live in Charlotte, NC we have copies in several fine stores: Manifest Records, Lunchbox Records, CD Warehouse on Kings Dr., and Rebel Base Comics.

We are hitting the ground running now that we have DVDs in hand. Oct. 27-28 I will be in Pittsburgh for Zombiefest 2007. We'll have a table so stop on by and say hi (and pick up some cool ass merch. while you're there). Steve will be at the Atlanta Horrorfest Oct. 4-5 with Come Get Some and a screening of his sequel "Come Get Some More". He'll also be down in Florida for Screamfest. In addition to all this, we may have a screening at the Ballantyne Theatre here in Charlotte. If you are in Charlotte, drop them a line and let them know that you demand to see Come Get Some on the big screen!

Horrorfind screening

Horrorfind screening was a rousing success as more folks were introduced to the rednecksploitation that is Come Get Some.

Next Stop: Ohio

Come Get Some plays the Frankly Film Fest Sept. 23-25 at the Ramada Inn in Middletown. The fabulous Zoe has chosen to include our little zombie mayhem in the first year of a event destined to be legendary. Check www.franklyfest.com for details.

Come Get Some will screen at the Horrorfind Convention in Baltimore,
Maryland Aug 19-21.
